<x-charset iso-8859-1>There is a 71(?) Fasty in our club which is twin carb and Auto. NONE of our type 3's were fuel injected to my knowledge (I'm in New Zealand) Allan :-) New Zealand ----- Original Message ----- From: "Daniel Baum" <dbaum@isdn.net.il> To: <type3@vwtype3.org> Sent: Thursday, October 10, 2002 6:34 PM Subject: Re: [T3] Automatic + carbs No, I meant original carbs, and not all list members are Americans. Personally I am only aware of one automatic + carbs car that is not a Type 34; a 1970 notchback owned by someone else in Israel. I have never seen it, but I assume it's carbed because as far as I know, the FI cars were not imported here. All automatic Type 34s were carb'ed (and there weren't many made) because the Type 34 was never made with FI. As for the '68, the manuals had swing axle, and the automatics had IRS. '69-on was all IRS.
