So, yes, I have a lot more flow. However, the pressure in the return line is next to nil and the tank is ventilated at atmospheric pressure. So, exiting from the return line isn't a high-pressure jet stream - just a little babble. OTOH, having a pump that pushes that much fuel may mean that I have a much lower threshold before starvation sets in, i.e. you can get away with a slightly lower fuel level than me... I doubt this is the sole source of the problem, but it certainly couldn't help much.
