<x-charset iso-8859-1> Okay, well after I got back from an earlier engagement on Sat. I thought, hey I need to adjust my valves on my Notch; as they have never been adjusted since the rebuild. And I figured I've got 30mins to spare, thinking people will still be at the park till 2:15 or so. Well this is the first time adjusting T3 valves. So I went to line up TDC on Piston 1. Lined up the dist. notch and the degree mark on fan. When I got under the car, the intake rocker arm was completely pressed up on the intake spring and valve. Thus I could not adjust. Lined up TDC on piston 2 and same thing. So I decided I would play with it a little bit, and moved the engine at just where I could adjust the valves at a little BTDC (according to the fan and dist.), and it was obviously adjusted incorrectly (too loose?), as the car was louder and getup and go weaker. And after trying this on all valves three times, I said screw that and rolled up there in a buddy's Jetta. This being the case, does it seem like something was put together amiss when the engine was rebuilt? When the notch on the dist. was lined up, the degree mark (it was actually the none degree'd or none marked indicator of the fan) was lined up with the indicator on the shroud, was when the intakes would not allow any adjustment. I thought maybe I am an idiot and checked the Bentley, but I followed everything exactly the same. So whadda yah say?
