<x-flowed>okay, okay... the part was the driver's side striker/latch for my notch. 
the one on the car was failing and keith came to my rescue!  the day 
his arrived, the one on the notch broke at the rivets behind the latch.  
hal,
the bug will be down until i get a day off... around the 13th!  at least 
i can walk to work for now.
