I have an old Beck-Arnley catalog which has drawings and data on each style of VW brake shoe. I finally looked there to see what people have been talking about. I'm afraid I really don't find anything which is really an exact match. Late beetle rears are close, but the diameter is less by 6/64" and there is no notch for the parking brake. The 62-3 shoes are also similar, but not the same. It is certainly possible that this catalog has errors, but it's even more likely that someone found something that was close and just used it. You could certainly do this with differences of diameter if you had the shoes re-arced. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
