> You want a 3/8" NPT (National Pipe, Tapered) tap. This is the standard pipe thread, which is tapered. I'm surprised that you could even find an NPS tap. They are rarely used. I inhererited the tools from my father-in-law who's an engineer from way back and has worked on boats and cars forever. Coarse threads, fine threads, metric threads, all straight taps and not one 3/8" NPT in the bunch. None at the FLAPS, nor at Home Depot, or Sears for that matter, I'll have to go in deep at the special tool store in Hallendale Beach. These cars are a labor of love, I'll tell ya. Not a day goes by that I don't learn something new, one way or the other. Thanks again, David Walters '73 1600 L Notchback S.
