Yes, delicious. ;-)

The easy way to check the hoses is to just open a bleed valve. If fluid flows 
out readily then everything is okay. If not, there is a blockage somewhere, 
which MIGHT be the hose, but it could also be dirt/rust in the bleeder or 
some other problem like negative MC free play.
