There's never a free lunch. You're taking the same mass and moving it farther in the same amount of time. The forces have to increase, which means the wear has to increase. My guess would be that to first order, it makes no difference whether you get your extra valve lift from a high lift cam or from ratio rockers. If the lift and duration end up the same, the forces, and the wear, will be the same.
