My notch 1600 I need to use a wrench to turn it over. I adjusted the valves; I thought it would get rid of the aweful rattle sound...but no avail. I am hoping something is loose. It makes a terrible rattle when accelerating. Maybe the heads are loose...I don't know. Adjusting the valves might be a good idea. Also keep in mind that this is just a small engine. You can expect to turn it over by hand. If you want to check the compression, do it with a gauge. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/ ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
