Don't worry about wearing out your welcome, everyone's new at some point and
has a bunch of questions. Have you searched through the archives though,
lots of good stuff in there.

Up to '69 the front end is a little different, the nose has more of a slope
to it. Some of us prefer this to the "shark nose" of the 70-74's. On that
point, it's all what you prefer.

A/C has been fitted as dealer options in the past and I believe that at
least a few members of the list do have running units. It would seem it's
not a monumental undertaking to add A/C to your car with a lot of planning
and piecing together the parts you need. There are a number of resources
including past threads on A/C.

FI - Started in '68 for the US market anyway(is that right?) people have
been conditioned to fear it, I don't have it as my car came stock w/ dual
carbs. Many cars have been converted to carbs at this point since mechanics
along the way didn't bother to figure it out. From reading this list the
last year and a half I have gathered that it could be a great thing with
just a little bit of maintenance and troubleshooting. I would say this list
is certainly the universes nexus for understanding Type-3 FI systems so you
found the right place if you get a car with a functioning system.

Automatics - There do seem to be a great deal of people on this list with
Autos (anybody ever made a count?) I think that the standard transmission
was more common though (speaking again just of the US). I couldn't begin to
tell you the pros/cons of an auto, I prefer a stick myself, simplicity :).

There are a few but this list seems to deal more strongly with stock cars.
There are a ton of people on Shoptalk in the Type 4rum who discuss this
modification exclusively.

Welcome to the Type-3 World :)
