In restoring a 1949 Hebm?ller, I had to go back to original, German fenders. Brazilian (which encompasses all other fenders collectively) have the headlight rims off slightly, the taillight housings off slightly, the cut of the rear fender openings was terrible in comparison to German, etc. I ended up having to search out German fenders specifically (no Brazilian junk) so as to retain the concept of the Hebm?ller body. Try fitting a pair of Foxcraft fender skirts, for example. You will never do it if you use Brazilian junk. Try fitting the headlight rims - a simple task - unless you mix German with Brazilian. The headlights look cross-eyed. The fender bolt holes don't even line up, if you mix them. Fortunately, I have one Type 34 Ghia. It was never known to use anything except German parts. No problem with the Type 34 ... everything fits.
