Jacob,
I have a '69 Squareback that I have just finished restoring. I got most
of my interior products from JBugs including the entire interior kit. I
opted for the charcoal grey velour kit. I also installed their headliner of
the same material. I was very satisfied with the overall quality of the kit
as well as the helpfulness of the JBugs staff. The videos included are worth
their weight in gold!!! If nothing else, buy the tapes. They show you all
the little tips and tricks needed to successfully do the job and anyone can
do it really. As far as the new door seals - man, have fun! I bought a set
of new German seals and was a little dissapointed in their overall quality.
It took a lot of time to get them on correctly and I'm only now able to shut
my doors easily (after almost a year since installation). The driver's door
just would not fit right and I ended up slightly scribing the leading edge
of the seal vertically with a razor which did the trick nicely. Overall
though, I would have to say that putting the doors and windows back together
was the most frustrating part of the whole restoration. Carpet and
upholstery go pretty quick and make a world of difference. Have fun, take
your time, and do it right the first time! Again, I would highly recommend
JBugs and their interior kit.
