Keith is correct that lowering the front end diminishes caster slightly, but it does not have this kind of severe effect on its own. Less caster does make the lowered car more sensitive to misalignment. In effect, caster encourages the wheel to pull itself straight, as a chair caster turns to follow the direction it's being pushed. So less caster allows misalignment to have greater effect. I think you should take a good look at the rest of your alignment (camber and toe-in), the condition of your tires and your tire pressure. I'm sure you'll find a much simpler solution than dropped spindles.
