RHD car's had the antenna hole on the left too, probably owing to the fact that it would get in the way when filling your car with fuel otherwise.... VW started delivering beetles with factory punched antenna holes in 67 and I suspect that this was the case with type 3s, too; I know that we had them in the US from 68-on, and they were all on the left side. I'd be curious to know if later RHD cars came with prepunched holes on the right or left side. I think that earlier cars came with no holes. I have a Blaupunkt drilling template showing where to drill the hole for the Blaupunkt antenna. This template has both right and left side versions so the antenna can be installed at the owner's choice. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/ ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
