While using a junkyard T4 alternator may be an economical idea, buying a new one is not. If you want a brand new one, I'd buy a Chevy alternator :-). They are cheap and easy to find. Either choice will require fabrication to make it fit. The only snafu you'll have to work out is which way the cooling air goes.
