Re: [T3] Speaking of headlights...European H4's?

<x-flowed>Wilson,
My Scirocco has a relay already for the high beams so that only control current is carried through the turn signal switch for high beams and the low beams are still well within the rated amperage of the switch so there are no problems there. My 'Rocco has a 90A alternator stock so voltage problems are not an issue. My Bug has a relay installed to handle the high beams and doesn't have any problems with the low beams either. For my Notchback, I am going to use 55W/60W bulbs since the generator is only rated for 30A. I am considering Jim A's suggestion to get it rewound for 35-40A so that I won't be taxing the system when I run my high beams. The difference is the European headlights (at least the Bosch H4 types) use a H4 bulb and are not sealed beam light like American headlights. The way I got mine was to do a search on ebay for 'K?fer Scheinwerfer' which means beetle headlight (correct me if I'm wrong Per). I just had to have patience and diligence and finally got a set for $5.00 and am now just waiting for them to get here.
