[T3] overflow hose -- new idea
<x-flowed>
So, I recently came up with a replacement fuel filler
overflow hose. The problem is that it's the shorter one for '72-'73,
not the right one for my '69.
On the odd chance that anyone has a good earlier one for
trade, please drop me a line very soon.
The part I got came with the adjoining hard plastic "T" pipe
for the tank end (as opposed to the filler end) of the hose. If it
looks like I can swing it, I may chop the too-short late filler hose
in half, and use a section of this pipe as an extension for the
rubber hose, kinda like this: ===--=== So, basically, cut the hose,
stick a section of the plastic pipe in the break as an extension, and
clamp it down with hose clamps.
Seems like it might work fine...? Kinda hate to chop up the
good part, especially if there's an earlier hose sitting around
somewhere! (Er, besides the ones that ISP West sells at a high
price.)
