If it is just one of the usual round see-thru guys then I'm not sure these are rated for 30 psi. These usually hold on to air because the outlet isn't at the top. The only place that air can get into a running system is between the gas tank and the pump. This would only happen if the filter screen in the tank was clogged leading to suction at the pump inlet. My guess is that you don't have an air problem.
