<x-charset iso-8859-1>>I have a 68 Notch. By "Late" do you mean 12v or the larger-nose Notches? Jason, when they say "late model", I'm not quite sure just when a model becomes late, whether it's just prior to production end or when a major body change/style comes along or just what. With Type III's, I've used late model to distinguish the pre-'70, rounded short hood, smooth bumpered models from the post-'70 "long nosed", big bumpered ones. If anyone can make a distinction between early and late, I'll promise to stick with it from now on. >BTW: How many late model notchback owners do we have here on the list? Don't know exactly, very few that I'm aware of. Maybe Greg Merritt can tell us. Greg? Are you out there? I know that I have seen only one or two late models beside my own and they were either '70 or '71's. I was on a Notchback registry years ago based out of Great Britain maintained by a guy named Alan Martin (1964 1500N, ASN 392B) and I seem to remember his saying that there weren't many late models around his area either. Just where they all went is anybodies guess. I asked Wolfsburg years ago for a breakdown in numbers for each year for Squares/Notches/Fasty's, they told me they didn't keep any records for that, which I still find alittle hard to believe. Maybe there's a secret stash somewhere in the Hartz Mountains filled with late model Notches as well as 0 mileage Kubels and Commanderwagens and Mercedes SSK's or so I've heard...
