Brent doesn't seem to be too into Type 3's at the moment. His daily driver is an early 70's bus. It's actually the only VW I've seen him driving around in. He told me a while back he has an early Type 34 he was wanting to sell, but we've never been able to get together so I could check it out. I don't know if he still has this car or not. As far as him invading, well I've heard rumors of an invasion of the invasion. The local VW club here in Boise is know as the Bus Pilots Association and some of them are talking about a Type 2 invasion of the type 3 invasion. I think it would be pretty cool. According to the parts list they were only available from August though December 1965. The red was called "pigalle" and the brown was "teak." Pigalle seems to be much more common. I've only seen one teak 66 interior in 15 years of looking, a roulette green/teak Type 34 owned by Brent Carter. This was over 10 years ago--wonder if he still has it? Back then he was living in...Idaho...hmm. Maybe someone in the Registry can track him down and encourage him to Invade?
