------- Forwarded message follows ------- Date sent: Sat, 18 May 2002 02:50:26 -0700 (PDT) From: Heather Ann Riggs <type3addict@yahoo.com> When i was visiting my mom in Maui, i was shopping, when i heard a very familiar fweem sound...i ran outside and heard it park...it was a dark green '71 Notchback. She (the owner) and I talked quite a bit...she said she picked it up for $600, but the interior wasn't in ship-shape(transporting her dogs around). She was surprised i even knew what it was...alot of people called it a studebaker...if only they knew.... anyway she says it's the only type 3 on the island(maui), and is one of the most reliable cars she's ever owned...and likes working on it...it's nice to know chics actually dig working on their cars..and it actually looked like there wasn't alot of rust, comparitively to the other cars around maui. some trucks are "collapsing" in on itself, it's pretty bad from the salt. - Heather '71 Fastback http:\\vwdreamer.tripod.com > T3 content: Any T3s out there in Hawaii, NW > Territory, or Alaska? ------- End of forwarded message ------- - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
