Two more questions close to this topic. I remember on my 69 AT FI Square I had one of those see-through plastic filters inline, in the engine compartment. But my 72 does not. Do I need one or is it a good idea? And regarding the breather, my cap kept flying off so I removed the 'sping' inside so the cap would stay put. I had tried to clean and adjust the cap to stay but it would not. Will this have an adverse effect, do I have to have that 'spring' in there?
