Your #1 plug is black, right?  Could that injector be leaking?  Try taking 
out all 4 injectors, leaving the fuel circuit still intact.  Rig the fuel 
pump to run continuously so you can let the system sit at a constant 30 psi 
for a few minutes.  Watch your injectors for leaks.  I think Bentley says to 
look for drip rates that exceed a couple of drips a over 30 seconds..

With the injectors out is also a good time to re-check your spray patterns.  
I'd rather see you test them by having somebody in the car turning the 
starter motor while you watch all 4 injectors.  (Disconnect the condensor 
wire from the coil first...)
