It's from the infected machine of a cox.net subscriber in San Diego. I posted a heads-up to the sandiego list. I've got the IP address of the infected machine, and I reported the situation yesterday to all of the <support>@cox.net addresses. The best response I got was from abuse@cox.net, who played me for a n00b and sent me e-mail with "From:" spoofed as my address, apparently to "teach me a lesson." Idiots. Here's the infected machine, btw: ip68-7-191-222.sd.sd.cox.net Yes, if you're a San Diego Type III person, and use a Windows operating system, and have cox.net (there are 3 or 4 of you), you may be the infected preson. Please, cox.net Windows users in San Diego, check your machines...! You're likely infecting other listees. Don't expect your ISP to look you up and let you know, either, because it's apparently not worth the trouble to them... -Greg ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
