Sophy was in her first car show! Unfortunately they parked me in the 61-66 section with all of the B*gs. Anyway, it was a decent show, but a bit on the cool side. Seemed appropriate since the theme of the show was "Air is cool" and it was. Total of 3 1/2 Squares, 1 Fasty and 1 Notch, counting the Squareback truck as the 1/2. Always good to BS with the other T3 owners. Didn't see Eric, but did talk to Bob and Sue, Dan Zink (even if he didn't have his Notch), and Jonce Fancher, who had his nice 66 Cal Look Square out for the day. BTW, thanks again for the 6V parts, Bob. Will be nice spares for the Parma pilgrimage. Sophy was the only one willing to wage the silent protest. I taped out her hood emblem, decklid script, hubcaps, even her gas cap. I had tape over the "VW" on my www.vwtype3.org shirt and hat and even on my 7 year old's hat. Felt a bit hypocritical though when my son and I each got our numbered VW stickers to try and find a match to get a free t-shirt. Hard to say no to a 7 year old or explain the finer points of trademark law....<G>. Didn't get questioned about the protest at all, but did get a weird look from the woman at the VW booth. All in all, had a good day.
