<x-charset iso-8859-1>GregM=> How do folks handle the => gas gauge in a 12v conversion? I took the actual guage out of a 12-volt unit and replaced the 6-volt guage in my original cluster. This is dead simple to do, assuming what you want is limited to getting a working 12V fuel guage that looks pretty close to original in a 6V car. Simply undo the screws holding the guage in the cluster, swap it into the older cluster, and replace the bulbs. All connections and fastenings are the same. Just be careful of the needle and don't stress it. (Type 34 drivers may have to bend the needle back just a bit to clear the trim ring.) Caveat: The lettering on the 12V guages is different, so it won't look *exactly* the same (but who'll notice?). If you want a red needle with this method, you'll have to paint it.
