Ooof -- I would rather first remove the acid, rather than keep it hanging around, painted over by POR-15. Simple water will dilute it and wash it away. I don't know the chemistry of auto batteries, but aren't there lead ions hanging around? Yuck. Don't let your rinse water run into the vegetable garden...
