>Like adding power steering aint it? > >Keith > >> Anyway, what a difference having radial tires makes!!!!!! >> Actually it is more like taking it away. The steering efforts at no and low speed are much higher with the radials due to the larger contact patch with the ground than the old bias plys had. So unlike most modern power steering systems that give you more help at no and low speeds and then less as you go faster. The steering efforts are not excessive, just much more than with the bias plys which were very , very light. If anyone complains about their T3 wandering in crosswinds and such, just throw a set of 15-20 year old bias ply tires on it and see what wandering really is. <G> Later, John Jaranson '71 FI AT Fasty (Jane) '66 Square (Sophy) About Half a Late Square (Organ Donor) http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jaransonT3/jaransonT3/ (This is my new website address) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
