It was actually your advice last week to use the fan bolt since the gland nut would just loosen if you tried to turn the engine the right way. 8^) I think this is true. I think the real problem was that I tried this without the fan or pulley in place. The hole is deeper than the threads....so the bolt tried to keep going deeper and create new theads... The left bank is the one that I used the self tapping head stud to fix one of the studs that would not hold torque. It was only intended to be temporary.
