This is a question specifically directed only to those of you familiar with '69 type 3s with FI and AT. The question is about how the kickdown switch is mounted on your car. All those I have ever seen have a kind of jury-rigged little aluminum bracket that bolts onto the top of the oil cooler. I actually have one of those brackets, but I wondered if VW managed to make the switch to the cast-on mounts on the intake air distributor sometime late in the 69 MY. Is there a 69 intake air distributor that has the integral mount points? This would have to have those mounts AND NOT the built-in cold start valve.
