<x-charset iso-8859-1>-yeah, what Toby said. :-) MDF is a higher density board than particle board. Looks similar too. Home Depot carries it in 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" at almost all locations. I think the smallest you'll find it though is in a 4x4 sheet. Anyway, it's a bit heavy, but holds solid and is dense enough to not vibrate or split easily.
