71 would have either been a 1.7L 4 cyl which was d-Jetronic or a 2.0L 6 cyl 
which used multiple carbs. The latter were very expensive and very rare. 
There is a unique center mount for the 914/6 front engine mount which is 
telltale for those who know. I think the only tranny offered was a 5 speed. 
There are automatic parts on the parts list, but I don't think any of those were 
actually sold.
