Well, if the truth be known, I was in church when the auction ended. Luckly, my cell phone has internet access and, well, the rest is history. Not too bad of a turnaround time. Won them on Sunday, had them delivered to Boise on Wednesday. They are steel. They are made by Tabco, part numbers are 40472R and 40472L. The are every bit as thick as the stock pan. I have a perfect 1969 pan I was going to cut up to use for my '65 Notch, but I had some other thoughts for it. Now I don't have to cut it up and trim the pieces to fit. I will probably just put in the left side for right now since that's the only bad pan I have. Maybe I paid too much, but for me, I was paying for the convience of having the piece all ready to take to someone to fix it. Look to actually be a pair of rear pan quarters. Still potentially useful, especially if they really are for a type 3. Were these ever made? Or is it more likely that these are beetle parts that someone once thought he could use? - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
