First off, look at WHERE it broke and how. See if it might have been defective, or was it installed wrong so that it was rubbing somewhere. Make sure that the Bowden tube at the rear is slipped over the solid tube where it exits the body. I've seen that not slipped together right, so that it slowly sawed thru the side of the tube.
