<x-flowed>i have had opportunity to email with a couple folks that have purchased the new cases. they are rough surfaced on the outside surfaces, with good quality machining. so far the cases have mic'd out very well. they are about 15 lbs heavier than the magnesium case. one shop that is ordering a gross of them says after the 'newness' wears off, the cases with be less $$$ than a new as41 case. these are OEM, not NOS cases, that come with stock specs for bore, stroke and cam. one shop is hoping to sell them bored and stroked, full flowed and ready to roll for 300 bucks! the Cal Look Forum is having lots of 'discussion' about these cases and as more info is found for certain, it will be passes on! CB is also going to come out with an aluminum case this summer, and performance tech is coming out with its own after market high-performance case for engines as big as 90x103! this is getting fun (-: -- Brian--1964 Notch Speedster 2332cc & 1959 Bug http://www.geocities.com/menacefye/ Type 3 Invasion Aug. 17th and 18th http://www.geocities.com/menacefye/invasion.html ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org </x-flowed>
