I've often wondered what those humps in the tin were designed for, but I've never seen them in use -- I thought it was an FI thing. It might work on single-carb cars, but as I understand it they had the coil mounted on the fan shroud to the right of the tower. Steven Ayres, Prescott AZ '66 KG1600 Looking at pics of my motor compartment in the 1962 KG1500, the coil is mounted to the cooling tin on the left side nestled between the intake and the generator. BTW, I can see grass in the yard, that means the cars are almost accessible....just waiting for mud season to pass....
