<x-flowed>>So if i switch the backs that will give me the seperate lights and on the >front >since i cant switch them i could remove the larger lights and install the >smaller early ones, with a little modification work im sure :) On the early rears, the tail light, turn signal and brake lights are all housed in one assembly, just like the late models. But the late model housings are larger. The early cars do have separate reverse lights (mounted on the rear bumper) and little round reflectors (no lights in them). On the front fenders, I guess you could change out the turn signals with some work. Maybe others here have done it. It sounds like you really want the early body style. Why not just find an early car and not try to modify/potentially mess up a good late model? I like my '69 a lot. Early body style with many of the good features of late models (fuel injection, ...).
