Thanks for the all advice on my engine rebuild question. I had pretty much decided to use the engine from my 71 Fasty for the basis of the rebuild. However, I realized something this morning as I was clearing my bench and preparing to start the teardown of the long block. My 71 is an automatic. The case has the clearancing on it for accessing the flex plate bolts. If I use this case, will the fact that the bell housing is not sealed be an issue with a manual trans and clutch?
