<x-flowed> I coulnd t say if anyone mentioned this here, but the Haynes has a quick and easy way to check the condenser. Remove the dizzy cap, turn on ignition and using a non-metal screwdriver or similar just open the points manually. If there is a spark between pit & tit (as Greg told us they were named) the condenser is bad, and this will cause burnt points. Another tip, a little drop of grease on the points will also help prevent burnt points.
