That means that the combustible fuel/air mixture passes thru the turbo. Are
there other setups that do this?
It sounds kinda risky, but it gets around the problem of pressurizing the float
bowl.

Actually, a draw-through setup like that is fairly common in the world of turboed VWs. I've actually seen more draw-throughs than blow-throughs. Most factory turbos are draw-through designs, but most factory turbos are also FI... Even at that, the fuel/air is passing through the turbo *so* fast that I don't think it would be much of a problem (unlike keeping the heads sealed!)
