used to seeing the 'blow through' set ups where the carb comes after the
turbo.

Did you notice that the air passes thru the carb BEFORE it is compressed? 
That means that the combustible fuel/air mixture passes thru the turbo. Are
there other setups that do this?

It sounds kinda risky, but it gets around the problem of pressurizing the
float bowl.
