Carmen and list, I saw your car posted on vwtype3.org classifieds. I am in Fox River Grove, IL (20 minutes from you), and have been on the list for about one year. I am elbow deep in a restoration of a 69 Fastback. If someone is interested in the car, but would like someone indepentant to look at the car before coming out or buying, you can give them my name. Beleive it or not I have seen many Squarebacks with low miles. At the Crystal Lake, IL VW show last summer there was a 73 Square with 5000 actual miles (not for sale). Anyway I beleive 69 is an awesome year (last year of older styling, some newer mechanicals), and wouldn't mind seeing the car for reference of my own project.
