I have the short block together for Sophy's new engine and am starting to measure the deck heights and such. What do you all think is a good compression ratio to shim to? Vitals: Stock rebuild 1600cc dual port, dual carbs stock cam and lifters I run 92 octane gas right now and would in the future Combustion Chamber Volumes #1 50.0cc #2 50.8cc #3 49.0cc #4 49.0cc I am assuming that I can shim the left and right banks separately to compensate for the difference in chamber volumes and that the 0.8cc difference is minor. Thanks for any advice.
