I've been through all of those places, but it's been ... uh .. nine 
years?  and I wasn't driving at the time, so I'm not a help at all. =I

But, I did get some additional advice from my parents on the stretch north 
of Winnemucca -- we should be sure to fill up in Winnemucca and also fill 
up a some gas cans as well.

Your mileage (literally!) may vary.
