Hello Listers, Thanks for the information on the cooling flaps. I was somewhat concerned about the location for the flaps as I could not find any holes for either the mounting for the thermostat or holes for the push rods and the flaps. Glad to have that mystery solved. While this engine is not original for the car it is an early engine. The birth certificate for the car indicates that the original serial number for this car's engine was 13585. The engine currently installed is #53743. So the current engine is early it would still be one without flaps. So that is a load off my mind and I will not continue to look for flaps to install. Thanks Scott and Simon for you help and information. Yes, I guess the white shift knob will have to wait or else I will have to do some painting. I can't quite bring myself to pay $250.00 for a badge. Somewhat out of line I would think.
