<x-charset iso-8859-1>CO is fine; shows the carb is adjusted OK. About 3% for carbs is the aiming point, but that's close enough - I wouldn't lean it from that. HC is a bit on the high side; a figure of a few hundred would show no problems. Something is stopping some of the fuel being burned. Maybe ignition isn't top-notch, valves need adjusting, or maybe compression is a bit down. Sometimes if the breather is passing some oil fumes, it is enough to give a higher reading (not sure if it should make it that high). It might just need new plugs, or points adjustment etc. Could be a valve not sealing too well; try a compression test to see if there's a potential problem there. There might be a better burn at a few more revs, so speeding the idle up a bit might be worthwhile. Dave.
