Did yours have ridges along the length rather than being smooth? I had some like that which only lasted 2 years and were cracked to the reinforcing fabric. The (free) replacements seem much stronger, though still rubber. I think the aftermarket sellers are now waking up to product liability issues. I think the rear hoses are original on mine too - no real flexing experienced which probably gives them longer life. Dave.
