If you use the 64 rear subframe and transmission there is no problem. > Also, I'm doing my first engine overhaul, and was hoping someone > could recommend a source for the parts I need: cheap > new/refurbished heads, distributor gear on crankshaft, rocker > arm assembly, pushrods/tubes, and the basic > rings/gaskets/hardware set. Reuse your original head if at all possible; get them rebuilt if necessary, but DON'T exchange them for rebuilt heads. You won't get back a matched set. I buy pushrod tubes and gasket sets from RIMCO when they are align boring the case and putting in the case savers. I've never needed to replace the rockers or dist gear, but I have plenty of good used sets if you want some. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
