Be careful what you get into. Bodywork takes a lot of time and patience in
order to get the best results. There are a lot of decent books out there,
but the best thing to do is enroll in a course to learn hands-on with a
teacher to back you up. I took a class in summer on the week-ends, it was at
a local technical college. They taught us everything from fixing dings to
welding in rust repair panels. I remember we had a vw rabbit practice car
there. The teacher would take a mallet and give the car a good WHACK! (I was
just cringing.. the horror!) After giving a little grin he would say "OK
now, fix it!".  It was totally worth the money, and the best thing was that
we got to bring in our own cars to work on by the end.
