Also, if I make a hard right turn, the problem goes > away (or reduces its severity). Sounds like lack of brake pedal freeplay. Has the pedal assembly been out of the car? Have they readjusted the length of the brake pedal pushrod? If so, that's a 'no-no' for the dual-circuit m/c. The free play must be adjusted by moving the pedal stop plate. Yes, really! If not the system can pressurise over a few miles. It may alternatively be a collapsed flexible hose acting as a non-return valve. Fluid pressure would be maintained after braking - this would be likely to happen very soon in the journey. A turn one way might let one of the hoses relax. If the hoses are old they are probably doing that. Dave.
